A legnehezebb magunkat megváltoztatni. Szokásainkról leszokni, s új emberré válni. Ha sikerűl, azt mondjuk rá "újjászülettünk" s ez tényleg így van. Valaki meghal bennünk, s valaki újjászületik. Meghal az ostoba, s megszületik a bölcs. Meghal a rossz, s megszületik jó. Meghal a boldogtalan, s megszületik a boldog. Minden jó fordulat az életünkben egy kis halál és egy kis feltámadás.

A REBORN című kiállítás, Tenkes Brigitta művészetének megújulását és egyben lecsendesedését is bemutatja. A minimalista hangulatú képek nem csak az egyszerűség szellemiségéről tanuskodnak, ahova a művész mint egyfajta fennsíkra elérkezett, hanem a kitekintésről is. Ez most egy új állapot, ami születőben van. Még nem lehet tudni, hogy hova rugaszkodik el innen az alkotói inspiráció, de a megnyugvás és a letisztulás szelleme már reményteljes bizakodásra ad okot. A csendben ott az új hang lehetősége, az egyszerűségben a szellem megerősödésének a szikrája. A REBORN ezt a személyes és művészi hitvallást bontja most ki.

The hardest thing to change is ourselves. To break our habits and become a new person. When we succeed, we say we are "born again" and we really are. Somebody dies in us and somebody is born again. The fool dies and the wise is born. The bad dies and the good is born. The unhappy die, and the happy are born. Every good turn in our lives is a little death and a little resurrection.

The exhibition REBORN shows the renewal and at the same time the calming down of Brigitta Tenkes' art. The images, with their minimalist atmosphere, testify not only to the spirit of simplicity to which the artist has reached as a kind of plateau, but also to the outlook. It is now a new state in the making. It is not yet possible to know where the creative inspiration will spring from here, but the spirit of calm and purification already gives cause for hopeful optimism. In the stillness there is the possibility of a new voice, in the simplicity a spark of strengthening of spirit. REBORN now unfolds this personal and artistic creed.
